Courage of Men

Calling all Mighty Men of Valor

Courage –Mental or moral strength to resist oppositions, danger or hardship. This also means a firmness of one’s mind and will.

James1:6-8, “But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.”

In this day and time in our society, a man is bombarded with so many decisions and is forced to deal with outside pressure. Since the very beginning, men have been appointed as the head. Therefore, for men, natural courage is a part of their genetic make up.
2 Tim 1:7, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” This is a part of our identity and it is so important for us to realize that God’s intent for man is to walk in the courage and authority that he placed in us.

Gen. 1:26 states that we were made in their image (The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) and we have Dominion. Well in order for us to have authority and dominion, we must have courage to stand up and stay above the standard.

Men, this month I urge you to focus on regaining the courage that was taken away or lost by various situations that have occurred in life. Remember this one thing, if for no other reason; you can have courage in 1 John 4:4: “Ye are of God, little children, and have
overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

The Word warns us about this type of thing in the last day. In 2 Tim. 4:3. "For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold".
