Are You Your Biggest Enemy?

Sexual relations is a major part of the marriage, it is a beautiful thing that God has ordained. We should be ready to minister to our spouse 1 Cor 7:4 says “The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife”. As a “Christian” we live by the Word of God and in 1Cor. 7:5 it says “Defraud ye not one the other, except it be by consent for a season, that ye may give yourselves unto prayer, and may be together again, that Satan tempt you not because of your incontinency.” Now initially we have the power because we are heirs of Jesus Christ meaning Satan has no power over us. He only has as much power as we give him. If we decide to with hold sexual relations from our spouse with the exceptions of prayer and fasting, the Word tells us that we give Satan room to come in and tempt us. We might as well give him a personal invitation. We are so quick to say “The devil did this or the devil did that” but if you’re in line with the word of God the devil can’t do anything, because he only has the power that we’ve given him. Which brings us back to the question, “Are You Your Biggest Enemy?” Selah.
